The Private Equity arm invests through funds as well as directly in companies, partnering with our fund managers and management teams to help world-class businesses achieve their objectives. We currently have over 100 active relationships with fund managers and have invested directly in more than 1000 companies globally across multiple sectors.

Technology Investment Group

 

The Technology investment strategy in GIC PE focuses on sourcing and investing directly in Tech companies by taking minority equity position, as well as to identify and invest in leading Technology private equity funds and also in selective co-investments alongside GIC PE fund managers worldwide, and grow with them in the long run.
 

We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our team as an Vice President in Beijing.

Responsibilities

  • Part of the Technology Investment Group based in Beijing.
  • Involved in sourcing, evaluating and executing investments in private equity deals in technology companies and fund managers.
  • Will focus on private equity deals. This will entail establishing, developing and maintaining relationships with counterparties, potential and existing investee companies.
  • Monitor assigned investments – support assigned GIC representative at investor / board meetings, interact with management and other investors on a regular basis, work on ongoing strategic initiatives in the companies, develop exit plans, etc.
  • Work well with the other areas/groups within GIC and provide support to others in the organization as may be needed from time to time
  • As an integral part of a small team, the Vice-President will be given as much responsibility as he/she can handle.
  • Be part of special projects as assigned from time to time

 

Requirements

  • Good academic qualifications with at least 8 years of work experience in a top-tier investment bank or PE fund.
  • Excellent financial analysis and modeling skills, able to conduct comprehensive research and synthesize results.
  • Besides being a good team-player, candidates should also demonstrate maturity, integrity and possess the ability to interact with senior professionals
  • Strong written and communication skills; good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Team player, self-starter, able to work independently and with little supervision
  • Ability to work collaboratively in deal teams and assist in managing advisors / due diligence providers.
