We manage deal structuring, due diligence and closing. We provide financial operations to GIC’s private equity, infrastructure, and real estate assets, as well as tax structuring, corporate holding structures, valuations, and financial reporting.

 

Investment Services Management (Real Estate) – Portfolio Monitoring

The Investment Services Management (Real Estate) team sits within ISPVM and provides business management, transaction execution and portfolio monitoring support to Real Estate Investment Professionals globally. This includes developing governance structures for the Real Estate business, propagating industry best practices, improving efficiency by process design, coordinating deal execution and closings, providing timely and accurate performance information and overseeing the process of identification and presenting data to ensure GIC Real Estate continues to retain its competitive edge. The team also manages the Real Estate portfolio insurance program to ensure appropriate protection of downside risks.


We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate to join our European Real Estate Portfolio Monitoring team to deliver best in class portfolio monitoring capabilities to the GIC Real Estate Asset Management. Given the scale and breadth of GIC’s Real Estate portfolio, the successful candidate will be crucial in enabling the Asset Management team to deliver effective portfolio management.

Responsibilities

  • Quarterly, semi-annual and annual reporting of portfolio data for the Europe real estate portfolio
  • Coordination of annual strategic asset planning process for European real estate portfolio
  • Support the annual budget process and periodic evaluation of asset performance
  • Operational metric and analytics to enable oversight over platform and Operating Company investments e.g. fee/expense leakages, updated investment attributes, key transaction terms
  • Develop data-driven asset management platform to service investments in properties, platforms, JVs and operating companies through effective data analysis capabilities. These include asset and sector level analysis which provides good insight into the portfolio dynamics
  • Proactively make suggestions and improvements in RE’s asset management processes
  • Drive rollout of relevant policy/compliance changes and process improvements in the European region
  • Oversee the Portfolio Monitoring team in Europe

 

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years relevant experience
  • Strong real estate knowledge, with portfolio management or related experience
  • Able to work independently and has experience in delivering process improvement initiatives and related projects
  • Comfortable with large datasets, and adept at manipulating data to deliver insights about the portfolio
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to drive co-ordination and project manage across multiple stakeholders
  • Inquisitive self-starter, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in team management
  • Excellent computer skills in Excel and PowerPoint. Familiar with visualisation tools such as Tableau
  • Innovative and entrepreneurial mindset
