Investment Services Private Market and Finance Department
 

The Investment Services Private Market and Finance Department is responsible for investment services for the private market and financial management across the GIC group. It is responsible for providing operations and reporting support to the private market business of GIC as well as budgeting, accounting, payment processing, cash management, tax and financial & management reporting services to all departments, corporate management companies and the global offices of the GIC group. It is involved in deal structuring and closing, transaction processing, administration and accounting of investment holding companies, review of financial controls for asset operations, cash & securities reconciliation, valuation and financial reporting for assets under management, and external debt financing.

We are looking for a suitable candidate to join the Financing team for our Private Markets group as a Vice President. The Financing team arranges and manages external debt financing globally.

 

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate with internal stakeholders on optimal financing structure for investment projects
  • Develop and maintain relationships with GIC’s panel of lenders
  • Negotiate with lenders on loan terms and conditions
  • Negotiate loan agreements with lenders and lawyers
  • Maintain deep insights on the financing landscape in the assigned markets of oversight
  • Review interest rate risks on loans taken for the portfolio
  • Monitoring loan covenants, and administration of the loan portfolio
  • Internal and External reporting

 

 

Requirements

  • A good university degree preferably in the area of finance or banking
  • At least 8 years of work experience in real estate debt financing
  • Good knowledge of loan terms and documentation standards in the banking industry, especially in European markets
  • Good knowledge of hedge structures such as swaps and caps
  • Familiarity with CMBS market, bank guarantees/SBLCs and subscription financing
  • Ability to develop and manage close working relationships with lenders
  • Meticulous with details and accurate with numbers
  • Strong inclination towards internal controls and compliance
  • Possess an analytical mind, and strong negotiating ability to create win-win situations
  • Is results oriented and enjoys working in a fast-paced work environment
  • Proficiency in French and  / or German would be an advantage
  • Debt restructuring experience would be an advantage
  • A committed team player
