The Infrastructure group at GIC focuses on investing in infrastructure assets including power, renewables, midstream, utilities, transportation and telecom assets primarily through direct unlisted equity investments, complemented with select investments in infrastructure funds, debt and public equity investments.

 

GIC’s infrastructure team in North America has invested in some of the largest and most complex infrastructure transactions in recent years including the take privates of ITC Holdings and Genesee & Wyoming Railroad and partnership with Blackstone Infrastructure to acquire control of Tallgrass Energy (NYSE:TGE).

 

We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our Infrastructure team as an Associates. You will have the opportunity to work on key aspects of a transaction and our small team provides the opportunity for team members to assume significant responsibility. After the deal completion, the Associates continue to be involved in asset management, including regular interaction with management and other partners and supporting strategic initiatives at investee companies

 

Responsibilities:

 

Evaluate and execute new infrastructure opportunities in the power and utilities, transportation, digital infrastructure and energy transition sectors in North America

  • Investment and sector research

  • Financial analysis, valuation, and modeling

  • Prepare investment memos for presentation to the Investment Committee

  • Track select workstreams on a transaction and liaise with advisors

  • Understand structuring and tax issues related to M&A transactions

  • Participate in the asset management of existing investments Work on other special projects as required

  • Work on other special projects as required

 

Requirements:

 

  • At least 1-3 years of prior investment banking, consulting, private equity or related experience

  • BA is required with top academic qualifications and demonstrated performance

  • Possess strong financial modeling and writing skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Maturity, presence, strong organization and verbal communication skills are critical due to the exposure and close interaction with senior members of investment team and senior executives

  • Team player, self-starter, detail-oriented, able to work independently with limited supervision

Total pay for this position comprises base pay and bonus. The anticipated base salary range for this role is between $111,500 and $148,700.

 

Bonuses, which may form a meaningful proportion of the total pay package, are determined based on company and individual performance.
