What impact can you make in this role?

To empower private equity investment teams in making data-driven decisions with greater confidence and accessing new investment opportunities, GIC is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Analytics Intern to contribute to the development of private equity analytics capabilities.

 

In this role, you will be part of a team that uses advanced quantitative methods, alternative data, and technology to generate superior investment performance.

 

What will you do as a Data Analytics Intern?

  • Working closely with the private equity investment insights group, you will analyze data to provide GIC's private equity investment and research teams with deeper insights.
  • Extract data through web scraping and database querying,
  • Clean data for future analysis and modeling,
  • Summarize dataset to provide a clearer overview to the management team,
  • Perform descriptive analytics to guide investment deal underwriting,
  • Prototype LLM tools for utility gains and insights generation,
  • Build interactive data visualization dashboards focused on investment metrics.

 

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

  • A background in statistics, mathematics, computing, AI or other quantitative fields, as well as proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Comfort working with and combining disparate and diverse data sources, a desire to solve novel technical challenges, and a positive work attitude with high energy and drive are also essential.
  • Willingness to explore the subject matter and learn other skill sets as required.

Compensation

Our compensation philosophy reflects several principles. We strive to provide a competitive compensation package to attract and retain talent globally. We pay for performance, and reward sustainable results. Total pay for this position comprises base pay and bonus.

 

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $96,000, prorated for the duration of the term of employment.
