GIC Real Estate
We were an early entrant among institutional investors in real estate including traditional private real estate (brick-and-mortar assets), public equities, real estate investment trusts, and real estate-related debt instruments.
RE Transaction Management
The Transaction Management team is part of the GIC Real Estate Business Management team and is responsible for providing transaction closing support for GIC’s Real Estate transactions.
Responsibilities

Work closely with the global lead for Real Estate transaction management to drive the successful execution of the transaction manager platform across the region.

Partner with internal stakeholders including investment teams as well as finance, tax, and legal teams to execute deal closings in an efficient and timely manner.

Be the main point of contact for internal and external parties such as legal counsels, custodians, and KYC/AML agents to receive and process transaction documents and ensure timely funding.

Assist the investment teams with selected deal related internal compliance tasks.

Act as the go-to resource for all process and policy queries, providing guidance to investment teams on approval processes, deal closing requirements and timelines.

Work closely with business heads to develop new capabilities through industrialization and digitalization of the deal execution process where appropriate; and

Manage deal pipeline and deal execution for the region, overseeing the regional Transaction Manager team.
Requirements

Good Degree in Finance, Business, Legal or related fields with minimum 8 years relevant working experience.

Ability to forge strong partnerships with investment team and other stakeholders.

Strong analytical abilities with an eye for details.

Ability to communicate and think strategically in addition to operating at a tactical level.

Inquisitive self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Good time-management and creative problem-solving capabilities is vital in terms of effectively dealing with the complex nature of the deals and tight deadlines.

Experience managing and coaching talented colleagues to develop them to their full potential.

Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.

A good understanding of the commercial, governance and legal terms of real estate deal documents would be advantageous.\

Compensation
Our compensation philosophy reflects several principles. We strive to provide a competitive compensation package to attract and retain talent globally. We pay for performance, and reward sustainable results.
Total pay for this position comprises base pay and bonus. The anticipated base salary range for this role is between $156,000 and $225,000. Bonuses, which may form a meaningful proportion of the total pay package, are determined based on company and individual performance.
