Bridge Forum Global Market Development Lead

GIC is a global institutional investor, is seeking a Business Development all-star to join our diverse team of tech investment professionals and communications experts in elevating our global business development platform, the Bridge Forum, into the world’s leading platform for high-impact business connections.


The Bridge Forum thoughtfully convenes global business leaders and tech trailblazers to connect, share exclusive insights, and problem-solve through impactful one-on-one meetings.

Since its founding in 2018, the Bridge Forum has focused on fintech, proptech, and enterprise, and made over 400 1-on-1 connections. Our previous Bridge Forum events have welcomed top-tier speakers including Patrick Collison from Stripe, Max Levchin from Affirm, and Ray Dalio of Bridgewater Associates.


The Business Development initiative will create strategic partnerships for the Bridge Forum’s partners who are high-growth technology companies in their pursuit of product-market fit and commercialization at scale.

We are looking for someone with entrepreneurial spirit and a strong passion for accelerating the impact of new technologies in the global landscape. As the Business Development Lead, you will be responsible for (1) managing and leading our global business development efforts, especially in the US and Asia, (2) working with GIC’s start-up company relationships on international go-to-market initiatives, (3) expanding the enterprise network of Global 2000 and top startup and business leaders, and (4) generating market development opportunities for strategic partners.


You will have the opportunity to be immersed in a global technology investing team that has partnered with disruptive companies such as DoorDash, Affirm, Checkout.com, Alibaba.com, Databricks, Amplitude, and more.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and lead our global business development efforts
  • Meet entrepreneurs, founders, and C-level executives as part of the team’s efforts to build bilateral relationships
  • Analyze vertical industries and identify targets and white space for growth opportunities
  • Outbound to companies globally to develop relationships and initiate curation calls
  • Lead curation calls and executive briefing meetings with Bridge Forum’s strategic partners
  • Create briefing agendas and brief prep documents before key meetings
  • Manage relationship management database to support the team
  • Collaborate with teammates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate with the GIC Communications team on overall Bridge Forum brand initiatives, including panels, executive workshops, and networking receptions
  • Gain exposure to venture capital and technology growth investing


Candidate background:                                                                                                                                               

  • Undergraduate degree in relevant areas and proven interest in technology
  • 7+ years of experience, including experience in a partner- or customer-facing role such as sales, business development, or strategic partnerships
  • Excellent presence and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Team player and enjoys working in a collaborative environment
  • Highly motivated self-starter and able to work independently
