The Artificial Intelligence Alpha Group (AAG) is a newly formed, AI-native investment team dedicated to using artificial intelligence to drive superior investment performance. We are pioneering a new model of active investing that fuses domain expertise, proprietary data, and cutting-edge generative AI. AAG is a cross-functional team comprising of experienced investors and expert technologists, working together to generated differentiated insights and deliver investment outperformance.
What impact can you make in this role?
AI Alpha Group (AAG) is seeking a Business Manager to provide essential support to the team across three key areas: investment operations, project management support, and administrative coordination. This is a broad, hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and enjoys working closely with senior investment professionals.
Given AAG’s start-up culture, you will play a pivotal role in helping establish the team’s foundations, including day-to-day coordination and supporting investment and operational processes. As the team expands and evolves, there will be opportunities to take on new responsibilities and grow with the platform.
What will you do in this role?
Investment Operations
- Support AAG’s Investment Lead in addressing portfolio needs such as preparing performance reports, coordinating portfolio movements, and setting up internal portfolio monitoring dashboards.
- Liaise with GIC’s back and middle office teams on trade settlement, portfolio transfers, and reconciliation processes.
- Maintain and update portfolio data, transaction records, and performance numbers.
- Track and follow up on investment compliance items, position reconciliations, and cash movements
Project & Documentation Support
- Support AAG’s Operations Lead in coordinating and tracking progress across defined project scopes and deliverables.
- Assist in documenting project discussions, decisions, and action items, ensuring timely follow-up and completion.
- Help maintain up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, specifications, progress updates, status and quality reports, change logs, approvals, and operational manuals, ensuring timely completion and submission by relevant stakeholders.
- Help coordinate internal workflows such as system onboarding, reporting template rollouts, and audit documentation.
Administrative Coordination
- Manage scheduling, calendars, travel arrangements, and meeting logistics for the AAG team members.
- Process expense claims, invoices, and administrative documentation in coordination with GIC’s corporate services teams.
- Assist with the preparation of materials for meetings, presentations, and management reporting.
- Manage the team’s travel and training budget.
What qualifications, skills and traits should you possess in this role?
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; prior experience in an investment management, banking, or corporate finance environment is an advantage.
- Keen interest in artificial intelligence.
- 6+ years of experience in business management, supporting investment or tech teams.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning internal systems (eg portfolio management, trade reconciliation).
- Clear communication and interpersonal skills; able to liaise professionally with multiple departments.
- Discretion, reliability, and a high degree of integrity when handling confidential information.
- Proactive problem-solver and ability to work independently in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
