Director’s Office
The Director’s Office assists the Director of Technology Group in steering, advancing and overseeing the execution of our strategic plans, and the effective operational management. This involves developing and operationalising strategies with short term to longer term perspectives, while embracing a strong change and risk mindset.

As an AVP Business Management in our Director’s Office team, you will have the opportunity to embark on a journey with a future-forward technology organisation, with exciting opportunities for professional growth and development. You will work closely with the Management Team to shape and deliver TG’s strategy, business and operational activities. You will be required to interact with people at all levels across the firm globally.
What will you do as an AVP, Business Manager?
Working as part of the Director’s office, you will bring strategic and structured thinking and approaches to manage the department effectively and efficiently, all with a change-oriented mindset to improving our department for the long term. This includes:
- Business Management: Support development and management of comprehensive business plans, including financial projections, budget, workforce and risk management, to support decision-making processes. Provide leadership in project and change management, monitoring progress across departmental portfolio and applying corrective actions. Responsible for regular and ad hoc senior management reporting and presentations. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business and operational performance and identify areas for improvement
- Strategy Development: Support strategy development and strategic initiatives as and when required
- Governance: Support orchestration and delivery of governance mechanisms ensuring that appropriate decisions, forums and documentation are made to support running of department
- Communication and Engagement: Spearhead the department’s internal communication and engagement plan - assist in the planning, execution, and/or coordination of meetings, forums, and/or internal events
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Proven experience in business management, strategy development. Preferred experience within a technology function of financial services firm and/or strategy / management consulting firm
- In-depth knowledge of technology areas such as infrastructure and platform services, service management, technology operations
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights (proven ability to bring order to unstructured problems)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Project management experience, demonstrating the ability to lead cross-functional teams to successful project completion
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software for strategic decision support
- High level of adaptability, creativity, and strategic thinking to navigate a dynamic business environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and JIRA
- Independent and highly motivated team player with a positive work attitude and strong interpersonal skills
