Investment Services Private Markets

We manage deal structuring, due diligence and closing. We provide financial operations to GIC’s private equity, infrastructure, and real estate assets, as well as tax structuring, corporate holding structures, valuations, and financial reporting.

 

Finance & Accounting

You will help to provide financial deal due diligence, financial controllership, treasury and funding, valuation management, investment operations, accounting, financial reporting, and special purpose vehicle management for GIC’s investments.

 

What impact can you make in this role?

You will be part of a team that provides investment services on private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and cross-strategy investments.

 

We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our Finance & Accounting team as an Assistant Vice President (Governance & Operational Management).

 

What will you do as an AVP in this team? 

  • Develop and maintain effective controls and oversight processes
  • Ensure effectiveness of controls through ongoing process evaluation and control testing
  • Perform end-to-end standard and thematic reviews of processes to identify new risk areas, thematic trends, or issues for rectifications
  • Manage risks and control issues including close monitoring of process metrics and providing proactive advice to process owners on possible improvements
  • Collaborate with Operational Risk Management Team and Internal Audit to manage trending risk events and enforcement of policies and guidelines
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in operational control
  • Prepare operational and business reporting for management
  • Drive cross functional initiatives for F&A including the assessment & implementation of new instruments and processes

 

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related fields of study
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience in the finance industry
  • Deep understanding of finance operations and regulations
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with excellent organizational skills
  • Experience working in a control function and working on dashboards e.g. Tableau will be highly advantageous
