People Analytics & Solutions

You will drive insights-based people decisions to support GIC's people agenda.

What will you do as an AVP, People Analytics and Solutions ?

This is a valuable opportunity for a passionate People Analytics practitioner to join a hybrid People Analytics and (Digital) Solutions team. The team’s twofold mandate includes driving People Analytics & the Digital HR agenda at GIC. What success looks like for this role – Supporting insights-based people decisions, to support forward looking and inclusive HR policies, that contributes to GIC being amongst the best places to work. 

 

People Analytics (70%) 

  • Analyze and interpret large data sets to produce actionable insights that inform HR policies and programs. 

  • Design user-friendly, self-service dashboards using Tableau to empower HR and business leaders with data-driven insights. 

  • Conduct user research to identify user needs and develop solutions, including user-centric dashboards. 

  • Communicate data insights effectively to non-technical audiences through storytelling. 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including HR leadership and management, to understand business contexts and develop relevant insights. 

  • Ensure data quality and integrity by understanding upstream systems and processes. 

  • Work with the data engineering team to maintain robust data governance and efficient data sharing. 

  • Engage in survey design and analyze employee survey data to uncover valuable insights. 

  • Conduct qualitative research, such as focus groups and thematic analysis, to complement quantitative findings. 

  • Participate in special projects and white paper studies as needed. 

 

Planning (30%) 

  • Develop, maintain and enhance planning models for Compensation, Workforce planning etc. using Anaplan. 

  • Work with external vendors for complex model building. 

  • Embrace a product owner mindset, ensuring models are user-friendly and fit for purpose. 

  • Collaborate with technology teams for platform management and security. 

  • Understand HR systems and their implications for model design. 

  • Manage the design, testing, and rollout of new models and enhancements. 

 

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

  • Degree in Statistics, Computing, Social Sciences, or Behavioral Science, with a minimum of 5 years of analytics or reporting experience. 
  • Proficient in creating dashboards with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI. 
  • Strong foundation in descriptive statistics and statistical techniques (e.g., regression, clustering). 
  • Knowledge of data visualization principles and best practices. 
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, R, or similar tools for data manipulation and processing. 
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering to effectively utilize AI tools like ChatGPT in your work. 
  • A collaborative team player with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Demonstrated leadership and influence as an individual contributor. 
  • Candidates with the following skills/training have an edge: 
  • Experience with building planning/simulation models on Anaplan 
  • Experience in any aspect of Design (UX design, interaction design etc)  
  • Qualitative research experience
