External Managers Department
The External Managers Department seeks to identify and develop relationships with the best breed of global investment managers to capture attractive investment opportunities across major asset classes such as hedge funds, equities and fixed income. We are seeking a Quantitative Strategist to conduct quantitative research and analysis on different style managers with focus on credit, discretionary macro, multi-assets strategies to deliver impactful insights and tools that enhance our investment decision-making process.
What impact can you make in this role?
You will have the opportunity to apply quantitative and data science techniques to a diverse array of datasets, delivering holistic and evidence-based insights and recommendations that drive our investment decision-making.
You will also have the chance to innovate and impact various stages of our investment process using quantitative methods and AI/ML tools, enhancing our breadth, depth, and scale in generating investment performance. Additionally, you will contribute to institutionalizing and expanding our collective domain knowledge.
What will you do as a Quantitative Strategist?
- Validate investment hypothesis and value-add investment strategies.
- Quantify potential portfolio risks and provide portfolio construction related recommendations.
- Identify market trends and provide insights.
- Perform cashflow and risks modelling and analysis for credit, structured products, and financing.
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
- Advanced degree in fields such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Economics
- 4-6 years in a quantitative role within finance
- Proficiency in R or Python and SQL
- Understanding of Credits, Structured Products and financing
- Be highly motivated, intellectually curious and adept at multi-tasking
- Independent thinker who is able articulate his/her views well, both in verbal and written form
- Strong team player who is comfortable in fostering new internal and external relationships
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand, influence and obtain buy-in from stakeholders effectively.
