Risk and Performance Management Department

In the Risk & Performance Management Department (RPMD), we work collaboratively across teams to identify and address potential blind spots, ensuring that all relevant risks are considered and duly addressed.

Risk Infrastructure

You will be part of a team that deploys state-of-the-art data and systems required for all aspects of risk and performance analysis and reporting.

What impact can you make in this role?

As an AVP, Risk Project Manager, you will support the Programme Lead in delivering the Risk Centre of Excellence (COE) portfolio, helping to translate business priorities into practical risk analytics solutions, capabilities and process improvements. You will own defined projects or workstreams from planning through implementation, working closely with risk subject matter experts, business users, technology teams and external partners. Your focus will be on disciplined execution, transparent delivery reporting, stakeholder alignment and successful adoption, while escalating material decisions and trade-offs to the Programme Lead and governance forums.

What will you do as an AVP, Risk Project Manager?

  • Own the day-to-day delivery of defined Risk COE projects or workstreams, ensuring each has clear scope, milestones, deliverables, accountabilities and success measures.
  • Work with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to elicit, document and refine requirements, user journeys and acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with agreed business outcomes.
  • Build and maintain integrated delivery plans; monitor progress, resources and budget inputs; and actively manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and changes.
  • Coordinate delivery across risk teams, technology teams, data providers and external vendors, following through on actions and resolving delivery blockers promptly.
  • Prepare concise status updates, decision papers and governance materials for working groups, steering committees and senior stakeholders, with clear recommendations and escalation points.
  • Track milestones, COE KPIs, adoption indicators and realised benefits, and identify corrective actions when needed.
  • Support solution validation and implementation activities, including test planning, user acceptance testing, readiness assessment, cutover coordination and post-implementation follow-up.
  • Engage stakeholders and drive change and adoption by facilitating workshops, working sessions and project meetings, and coordinating communications, training, process documentation and feedback collection.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of COE delivery practices, templates, controls and knowledge sharing, incorporating relevant industry practices.

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Analytics, Information Systems or a related field.
  • Typically 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in project management, business analysis, product delivery or transformation roles, preferably within financial services or asset management.
  • Experience delivering workstreams within a larger programme, under the direction of a programme lead, involving multiple stakeholders, dependencies and competing priorities.
  • Strong project execution skills, including planning, requirements management, RAID (risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies) management, governance reporting and delivery tracking
  • Effective stakeholder management, written communication and facilitation skills, with the confidence to engage both business and technology stakeholders.
  • Analytical and structured problem-solving capability, with attention to detail and the ability to translate complex topics into clear actions and decisions.
  • A proactive, collaborative and outcome-oriented mindset, with sound judgement on when to resolve independently and when to escalate.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with investment risk concepts (e.g. market, liquidity and tail risk, stress testing) and related analytics, data or reporting systems.
  • Experience supporting testing, implementation, change management and user adoption.
  • Proficiency with project and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience using AI tools to enhance project management, for example in planning, documentation, reporting, and risk and issue tracking.
