Risk and Performance Management Department


The Risk and Performance Management Department is responsible for the independent assessment, measurement, monitoring and reporting of GIC’s market, credit and operational risk profiles.


We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated and technically competent individual who has an interest in risk management, systems and methodologies. You will be a member of the Risk Infrastructure team to provide risk management and measurement support to the organisation.



  • Manage the end-to-end workflow of the performance and risk measurement systems, from batch preparation work and data checks to reconciliations and publishing of results
  • Manage system tools and reports needed to support smooth operation
  • Work with risk managers, risk analysts and the technology group to implement new performance and risk models or enhancements to existing models
  • Assess and manage the impact of upstream data changes or new business initiatives (such as new product requests) on existing system and processes
  • Provide guidance to the junior system analysts in the running of risk and performance systems, operations and ensure the analytics produced are timely and accurate
  • Engage and manage external risk vendor in their delivery of new models and system functionalities, data coverage and the quality of their production support


  • A good Degree in Banking & Finance, Engineering or related fields of study
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in the finance industry
  • Good understanding of financial products, trade operations, trade and market data and performance or risk analytics
  • Experience in working with performance, risk or accounting related systems, in the form of project implementation, operation or reporting
  • Strong technical skills such as Microsoft Office suite, SQL or other programming languages
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact effectively with different stakeholders and external vendors
  • Able to work independently under pressure
  • Good team player who possesses drive and initiative to be able to work with minimal supervision
