We are looking for a suitable candidate for the role of VP, Lead, Security Operations Centre (SOC).  This role reports to the Head, Cyber Security operations within TG, and provides security operations technical leadership coverage for GIC.



  • Provide technical leadership and management of the security operations centre.
  • Engage with various SecOps functions supporting our follow the sun operations.
  • Manage cybersecurity events and incidents and operate as part of a rapid response team when required.
  • Support and execute security operations centre strategy and initiatives.
  • Work with security technology partners to review, enhance and manage existing security operations platforms.
  • Direct, drive process and document improvement in triage and escalation procedures, workflows and tasks;
  • Provide oversight to develop, maintain and periodically validate the various security operations playbooks and processes.
  • Develop and measure security operations centre insight and metrics. Identify and execute on opportunities for improvement;
  • Establish a culture of collaboration and excellence within SecOps; serve as a role model, leader and mentor for positive change;
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and breaking news that may be relevant, especially relating to our existing or future investments in security;
  • Stay abreast of latest cybersecurity threats and evolve our security controls as appropriate.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in network security, application security, enterprise security and security incident response.




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 9 years of relevant experience preferably in financial services or asset management industries, with a minimum of 3 years in leading and managing a SOC.
  • Professional qualification such as SANS, CISSP / CISM / CEH will be advantageous.
  • At least 3 years of management or team lead experience of cyber security teams (Preferred).
  • Broad-based experience across multiple cyber security areas, such as threat intelligence, security operations management, endpoint security and cloud security.
  • Experience in SIEM, vulnerability management, security operations tools, security analytics tools, etc. Familiar with cloud native security technologies.
  • Ability to engage effectively and articulate solutions to both non-technical and technical audiences.
  • Desire to work in a diverse environment interacting with various teams and functions to support strategic goals.
  • Demonstrates a problem-solving mindset with intellectual curiosity, critical thinking and proactive solutions.
  • Strong communications, both written and verbal with the ability to present control topics to a broad audience.
