Business Partner & Solutions
You will help to explore new, and existing technology to support our strategic, and operational business needs across our Public Markets, Private Markets, Total Portfolio Risk, Corporate Services, and Enterprise Solutions.
What impact can you make in this role?
We are looking for potential talents to join our Technology Group as an AVP/VP, Lead Business Analyst with a focus on Enterprise Products in Digital Enterprise Solutions, such as CRM and relationship intelligence platforms, workflow platforms, analytics and reporting platforms. You will be empowered to be at the top of your game by providing strategic partnership, and innovative technology solutions that supports GIC’s vision of being a tech-driven, global, long-term investment firm.
What will you do as a Business Analyst?
- Solution Design and Implementation: Collect requirements, design solutions, and ensure seamless implementation of features and integrations across custom-built, hybrid, and SaaS platforms. Make thoughtful platform-level decisions regarding architecture, security, and integration, collaborating with cross-functional teams to adhere to technology best practices and business requirements.
- Product Ownership and Lifecycle Management: Serve as a key product owner, understanding the design principles, roadmap, and feature set of SaaS and custom-built applications. Manage the full product lifecycle, prioritizing features and tasks, tracking and reviewing product direction frequently, and measuring product performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders. Actively engage with stakeholders to understand their strategic goals and needs, manage expectations, and ensure technology projects deliver intended value. Facilitate effective communication and alignment between technology initiatives and business objectives.
- Technical and Business Competency: Deep dive into products with a holistic understanding of both technical and business aspects. Leverage a deep understanding of SaaS platform capabilities to guide phased adoption of new features, focusing on user enablement, process optimization, and long-term sustainability
- Change Management and Adoption: Drive thoughtful change management efforts to ensure technology changes are managed effectively for optimal adoption. Establish feedback mechanisms with technology domains to continuously gather insights on performance and stakeholder satisfaction, driving iterative improvements.
- Strategic Planning and Budget Management: Support the strategic planning and budgeting process, monitoring expenditures to promote financial discipline and accountability.
- Market Research and Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and platform enhancements, conduct market research to identify emerging technologies and best practices, and recommend improvements to tech processes that drive innovation and efficiency. Incorporate insights into a continuous improvement plan for the platforms.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely within and across teams, e.g., infrastructure, security, and engineering, to ensure alignment, support, and delivery of technology initiatives. Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing across cross-functional teams.
What makes you a successful candidate?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in IT project management, software development, business analysis, or product management.
- Proven experience in managing all aspects of a successful product or platform throughout its lifecycle.
- Proven ability to assess and implement complex platform architectures, balancing technical constraints and business objectives.
- Familiarity with IT governance, security requirements, and best practices for managing enterprise platforms.
- Demonstrated knowledge in application management, driving operational excellence, incident management, capacity planning, cost management, licensing and vendor relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven experience in project, stakeholder, and vendor management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to translate complex technical issues into actionable steps aligned with business needs.
- Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, collaborate efficiently across cross-functional teams, and maintain clear documentation.
- Experience working with project management methodologies and tools, and with product management principles, including the ability to own a product, understand outcomes, use data to drive actions and recommendations, and gather user insights, is beneficial.
- Broad experience with cloud-based SaaS systems and internal custom-built systems is preferred.
