Investment Services Private Market
The Investment Services Private Markets Department (ISPVM) is responsible for investment services for the private market across the GIC group. It is responsible for providing deal structuring and closing, portfolio monitoring, valuation, finance, operations, tax, data management and analytics services, in the execution of private market investments across Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Estate and Infrastructure. It is also involved in financial reporting and accounting of investment holding companies, as well as operations and financial due diligence for asset operations.
The Business Manager will be responsible for developing the strategic business and operational solutions for the private markets Infrastructure business line, while ensuring smooth running of the day-to-day operations including analytical and business supports.
The successful candidate will support the Department in delivering Sustainable Top Quartile Performance. Be the voice and go-to person for the business and the internal stakeholders, representing business needs. They are required to interact with people at all levels across the firm. He/ She will also work closely with teams across 11 GIC locations, as well as counterparties and service providers across the globe.
Responsibilities:
Strategy development

Understand the strategic agenda and priorities of the business. Develop strategic blueprints to develop and implement business and operating models, programs, processes, and tools to drive synergies and strategic outcomes; supporting business growth and enable greater scalability in investments support
Process, Platform, Change management

Partner across GIC functional teams to drive operational excellence, investment process digitalization, optimization, and documentation

Catalyst to drive business requirements and work with GIC technology teams for native private markets platform development and dashboarding capabilities

Collaborate across investment departments for best practice leveraging and to drive execution of cross-departmental initiatives
Business Management

Oversee and coordinate process, governance, control review and audit activities, including remediations

Drive policies and framework review and implementation addressing business needs

Support annual business planning and budgeting process

Ongoing oversight and management of budget, cost, and business administrations

Support ad hoc business needs and drive deliveries aligning with business agenda
Asset Servicing, Reporting & Controls

Oversee and execute a range of asset servicing and reporting activities and controls

Listed transactions’ coordination, order management, checks and reconciliations
Requirements:
-
Experience in investment operations, business management and strategic planning

Experience in project/process management. Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills with an eye for details

Ability to think and communicate strategically yet operate at a tactical level when required

A good team player with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

A versatile, proactive self-starter. Thrive on managing multiple projects and priorities

Good degree in Business, Finance or related fields with minimum 7 years relevant working experience in the financial services industry

Solid knowledge of the Infrastructure and private markets business is favorable
