Real Estate
We were an early entrant among institutional investors in real estate including traditional private real estate (brick-and-mortar assets), public equities, real estate investment trusts, and real estate-related debt instruments.

 

Financing Middle Office
The Financing Middle Office team sits within GIC Real Estate Business Management function and is responsible for providing end-to-end middle office support for Real Estate’s financing activities. 

 

What impact can you make in this role?
We are currently looking for a suitable candidate to drive operational excellence across the activities managed by the team.

 

What will you do as within the Financing Middle Office team?

  • Work closely with Capital Markets Team and external partners to monitor and administer loan lifecycle activities
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and driving implementation of technology initiatives and process enhancements to achieve operational excellence
  • Cultivate strong relationships and collaborate alongside business partners to streamline and optimize processes
  • Monitoring and managing financing deal pipeline; liaising with Capital Markets Team / lawyers / bankers to oversee closing of financing and hedging activities including execution of financing and hedging agreements, co-ordination of loan drawdown and preparation of associated documents
  • Set up of loan and hedging facility in corporate systems including specific loan terms / covenants
  • Oversee the monitoring of loan covenants to ensure continued compliance with loan obligations
  • Manage internal and external reporting requirements including review of financial statements, confirmation of loan balances, and reporting to lenders as part of covenant obligations

 

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role? 

  • A good university degree preferably in finance or banking
  • At least 6 years of relevant work experience in banking, loan operations or transaction processing is preferred
  • Good knowledge of real estate financing and hedging documentation standards in the banking industry 
  • Experience in process design and internal controls, including delivering process improvement initiatives and related projects 
  • Possess an analytical mind and meticulous with details and accurate with numbers 
  • Is results oriented and enjoys working in a fast-paced work environment
  • Able to drive co-ordination and project manage across multiple stakeholders 
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in team management
