We are hiring an AVP/VP, Data Engineer, Data Policy and Governance, this role will be part of the Data Policy & Governance team and a key member to enable various data governance capabilities (e.g., end to end data quality solutions, metadata, etc.) to enhance the quality and value of data to support the organization business needs.

Responsibilities 

 

  • Design, implement and enable data governance capabilities to support effective management of data assets.
  • Perform analysis and monitoring on existing data architecture, data platforms and practices to identify enhancement required to enhance data quality.
  • Work closely with data governance analysts, business end-users and data vendors to implement and support data governance solutions using best-of-breed technology and methodology.
  • Operationalize and implement an automated end-to-end data quality management solution across organization, taking operational considerations into account that is scalable and sustainable.
  • Analyze and maintain data governance operations data (SLAs, customer satisfaction, delivery quality, team efficiency etc.) to identify actionable trends for continuous improvements.
  • Provide technical coaching and guidance to juniors.

 

Requirements 

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in data modelling, data integration, preferably in an investment and banking environment.
  • Experience in data engineering and platform in one or more areas:  

 

                       - Data Quality Product (Informatica Data Quality Tool or equivalent) 

                       - Metadata Management Product (Informatica, Alation, Collibra) 

                       - Major Cloud-based Data Platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, RDS)  

                       - Data Virtualization Technology (Denodo)  

                       - Business Intelligence (Tableau, PowerBI)  

                       - O365 Suite  

                       - Experience in programming language in Java, Python 

                       - Good knowledge of Linux family of OS 

                       - Experienced with SDLC methodology and/or agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban. 

 

  • Good team player, with strong analytical skills and enjoy complex problem solving with innovative ideas.
  • Strong communication/people skills required to interact with data analysts, business end-users and vendors to design and develop solutions.
  • Good at working with details and is meticulous for operations.
