Risk and Performance Management Department (RPMD) 

The Risk and Performance Management Department is responsible for the independent assessment, measurement, monitoring and reporting of GIC’s market, credit and operational risk profiles.

 

Risk Infrastructure (RI) 

You will join the Risk Infrastructure team to provide performance management and measurement support to the organization. This role is for a dynamic, self-motivated and technically competent individual with an interest in performance management, systems and methodologies.

 

You will be the subject matter expert for performance management overseeing the performance system and provide advisory services to stakeholders on the effective use of performance analytics to support business needs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the performance system to deliver accurate and timely performance measurement and analytics data, supporting the business needs of the organization through continuous review and enhancement of system tools and work processes.
  • Collaborate with upstream data providers on new data requirements, addressing data quality and timeliness issues to support performance reporting and analytics needs.
  • Work with risk managers, risk analysts and the technology group to implement new performance models or enhance existing ones.
  • Collaborate closely with the technology group and vendors to manage system performance, enhancements and prioritize change requests.
  • Design and manage the end-to-end workflow of the performance system, including batch preparation, data checks and reconciliations and publishing results.
  • Assess the impact of upstream system and data changes or new business initiatives (such as new product requests) on existing systems and implement required changes.
  • Lead a team of junior system analysts in the operation of performance systems, ensuring timely and accurate performance measures and analytics are delivered.

 

Requirements:

  • A good degree in Banking & Finance, Engineering or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the finance industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial products, trade operations, market data and investment performance.
  • Experience with performance systems, project implementation, operations and reporting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Initiative and drive in the pursuit of excellence through continuously review and implementation of improvements to operational processes and system performance.
  • Resourceful and resilient, capable of working independently under pressure.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, SQL or other programming languages.
  • Experience with AI/machine learning will be a plus.
  • Additional qualifications such as CFA and CIPM will be considered favourably.
