Data Strategy Group
We build our data architecture in a robust operational environment with scale and efficiency. Data is meaningful in a functional, discoverable, and accessible format to power GIC’s innovative investment strategies.

 

Data Management 
You will actively manage GIC’s data through technology-enabled activities such as data sourcing, maintenance, and remediation. Our stewardship ensures data remains trustworthy, and of high quality.

What will you do as a Project Manager (Private Markets)?

  • Manage the daily operations of key data production systems in Private Markets 
  • Monitor, analyze, investigate, and resolve day-to-day operational incidents
  • Manage front/mid/back-office enquiries relating to Private Market data systems, including oversight and resolution tracking over all queries. This includes investigation, resolution of queries or directing queries to subject matter experts (SMEs) where necessary
  • Drive continuous improvements on new/ existing data operations process and technology to achieve operational goals
  • Conduct requirement sessions with business and/ or users and analyse requirements holistically
  • Contribute, influence, and review the design of data solutions to ensure it meets both business and operational needs and demonstrate technical expertise in the assigned area
  • Develop private market business domain knowledge in private equity, real estate and infrastructure to become effective partner to help business meet their current and future needs using the right technology
  • Document operational issues and processes, as well as to help develop meaningful SLA/SOPs to improve process governance
  • Manage internal team members , cross-team collaborations and vendor resources for successful system run
  • Ensure the organizations IT policies and procedures including service , incident management, security management are aligned with the team’s practices
  • Manage and influence key stakeholders across the organisation
  • Manage IT Operations budget and ensuring expenses are in line with the approved budget
  • Provide coaching and guidance to juniors team member

 
What makes you a successful candidate?

  • Degree from tertiary institution with at least 5-7 years of relevant working experience preferably in a financial services industry
  • Demonstrates leadership skills to effectively manage a team of software support staff
  • Have a good mix of software operations management experience, technical depth and people skills to be successful in this role
  • Good at working with details and is meticulous for operations
  • Experienced with SDLC methodology and/or agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban
  • Familiarity with Private Markets, Python/SQL, C# & AWS environment would be beneficial
