We are seeking an experienced and forwarding-thinking Assistant Vice President/Vice President to join GIC’s Total Rewards Team. The team is responsible for the design and implementation of GIC’s compensation, benefits and wellness policies and strategies globally and across all business units.

 

We are seeking an individual with expertise and innovation to propose and execute policy changes, excellent communication skills to interact with senior stakeholders, and strong attention to detail. This is an individual contributor role and will be reporting to the Head of Total Rewards.

 

What will you do as an AVP/VP, Total Rewards?

  • Be a thought leader who can partner with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition, providing insights and solutions on compensation, benefits, and wellness matters.
  • Partnering across HR with other teams (including graduate recruiting, people operations, people analytics, Finance Department etc) to ensure a seamless execution and delivery of Total Rewards programs globally.
  • Assist with structuring lateral hire compensation offers including valuing deferred compensation buyouts.
  • Conduct market analysis, job evaluations, compensation modeling, and diagnostics on an as-needed basis
  • Support the annual compensation process end-to-end, including the annual benchmarking exercise, salary planning, spend analysis and pool generation/modelling
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in compensation, benefits, and wellness, bringing fresh perspectives to GIC’s reward philosophy.
  • Manage multiple projects across HR and business units, balancing strategic priorities with operational excellence.

 

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics, finance or a related field.
  • 6 - 9 years of experience in compensation design and analysis, including salary and incentive program, market surveys, analysis, research and modelling.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and comfort working with large datasets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills can influence decisions.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of financial services industry would be a strong asset.
