Private Equity
GIC is a global investment firm and has one of the largest and broadest private equity programmes amongst all institutions. GIC PE invests across the Americas, Europe and the Asia-Pacific in a range of sectors including Healthcare, Consumer, Financial services, Technology, Industrials, Sustainable Energy and Infrastructure. Besides investing through private equity fund managers, GIC PE also invests across the capital structure in equity, senior and junior debt, in secondary PE deals, restructuring & opportunistic credit and special situations. We currently have over 100 active relationships with fund managers and have invested directly in more than 1000 companies globally across multiple sectors.
Investment Services Management - Private Equity (PE)
The Investment Services Management (PE) team sits within the PE department. The team plays a vital role to provide investment and portfolio management support to deal teams globally across 9 overseas offices. This includes propagating industry best practices, improving efficiency by process design, providing timely and accurate performance reporting, coordinating initiatives with multiple departments and overseeing the process of ingesting and presenting data to ensure GIC PE continues to retain its competitive edge.
We are looking for a dedicated Analyst/Associate to support platform management activities which involves coordination across multiple function teams and vendors to ensure seamless operations..
This will be 2-year fixed-term programmatic hire (with full employment terms & benefits).
What will you do in the role?
Platform Management and Operations (70% of role)
- Understand and navigate GIC PE’s business context, data model and investment processes.
- Gain familiarity with GIC PE’s digital platform ecosystem, consisting of both internally build and vendor provided systems.
- Identify key problem statements and/or enhancement opportunities for GIC PE and solution accordingly with detailed requirements.
- Analyse the appropriate platform capabilities required to fulfil planned use cases for business users.
- Coordinate various stakeholders, including teams such as Technology Group, Data teams and external vendors, on executing planned use cases on the various systems.
- Review and improve existing processes to achieve scalable, consistent ways of processing data and advancement in productivity.
- Develop deep understanding of external platforms’ capabilities and work with external vendors to leverage technology and scale data operations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of platform processes, procedures and user guides.
Special Projects (30% of role)
- Liaise with various stakeholders (Finance, Risk, Investment Services Data) to support GIC corporate initiatives and system-related projects.
- Ensure data robustness through scrutiny and analysis of data ingestion and server design.
- Develop management insights dashboard with key operational metrics.
What qualifications, skills and traits should you possess in this role?
- 2-4 years working experience as a platform manager, project management and/or business analyst role
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering, Finance or equivalent
- Exposure to financial services industries or financial data projects, specifically private markets, good to-have
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights
- Strong knowledge and passion in systems, coding and data analytics tool (e.g. Tableau)
- Keen to adopt new technology tools and ability to work with large datasets
- Outstanding analytical skills; able to resolve business problems with well-structured analyses
- Strong learning agility and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, SQL, Python and data visualization tools
