Chief Operating Officer’s Office - Private Equity (PE)

The PE Chief Operating Officer Office (PE COOO) is a newly established team within the PE department and is dedicated to translating business needs into operational requirements for a scaling organization. The PE COO leads core functions in Data, Tech Enablement & Analytics, Risk & Performance Reporting, Process and Control, Business Planning Support, and Investment Operations.

 

The team supports the PE COO in coordinating projects and initiatives that accelerate PE’s efforts in data and technology enablement, reporting and capability building, positioning the firm for future growth.

 

Analyst/Associate – Portfolio Reporting Analyst (1 -year contract)

The PE COOO is seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Analyst/Associate to support the team in portfolio reporting and strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in enabling timely portfolio monitoring for GIC PE, while supporting strategic initiatives that strengthen business capabilities. 

 

This role offers the opportunity to work with emerging technologies and PE’s proprietary data, one of the largest databases of private companies.

 

What will you do as a Portfolio Reporting Analyst?

  • Data validation and quality assurance: Reconcile data across internal systems and sources, investigate discrepancies, and maintain high data integrity.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Partner with internal stakeholders to understand their monitoring needs and resolve data-related queries.
  • Portfolio reporting: Support the preparation of portfolio updates for internal stakeholders.
  • Process optimisation and governance: Identify and implement improvements to reporting processes, including the timeliness and insightfulness of portfolio updates to senior management.
  • Strategic initiatives: Contribute to various initiatives driven by the PE COO office.


What qualifications, skills and traits should you possess in this role?

  • Education: Bachelors’ degree in a relevant field (including but not limited to Accountancy, Business Administration, Finance).
  • Experience: 1–3 years of working experience in corporate finance, accounting, valuations or portfolio reporting. Experience in private equity is a bonus.    
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python), experience with BI tools and MS Office 365.
  • Soft skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication.
