Chief Operating Officer's (COO) Office
The COO's Office supports our COO to streamline operations and align them with strategic goals. You will work with the COO, Heads of Departments, and stakeholders across GIC to achieve operational excellence.
What impact can you make in this role?
In this role as Associate/AVP, PMO Operations, you will play a vital part in driving operational excellence within the COO Office PMO. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless execution of governance and portfolio management processes while also supporting data analytics initiatives. You will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the PMO by facilitating governance frameworks, coordinating portfolio review forums, and leveraging data analytics to provide actionable insights that inform decision-making and improve project outcomes
What will you do as an Assoc/AVP, PMO Operations?
1. Portfolio Governance Support:
- Assist the portfolio governance team in executing governance processes, including project reviews and health checks.
- Prepare materials for portfolio review forums, coordinating with relevant teams for input.
- Track follow-ups from portfolio review forums, ensuring decisions and actions are implemented.
2. Operational Management:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the PMO, ensuring that processes run smoothly and efficiently.
- Coordinate updates from project teams and ensure timely communication of project statuses.
3. Data Analytics and Reporting:
- Gather and consolidate data from various sources to support analysis and reporting efforts.
- Analyze project performance data to identify trends and areas for optimization, preparing preliminary insights for review.
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards and reports that provide a comprehensive view of performance metrics.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
- Facilitate the planning and execution of portfolio review forums and governance meetings, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and effective stakeholder engagement.
- Support the development of communication materials to keep stakeholders informed about PMO initiatives and data insights.
5. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within PMO operations and data analytics frameworks.
- Engage in training and development opportunities to enhance your understanding of project management methodologies and data analytics tools.
What makes you a successful candidate?
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience: 4-6 years of experience in project management, operations support, or data analytics, preferably within a PMO environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with data management and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project).
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in creating visually appealing presentation materials (e.g., PowerPoint, Canva) is a plus.
