Investment Insights Group
The Investment Insights Group (IIG) comprises of a team of quantitative researchers and data scientists residing in each asset department to harness alternative data and advanced quantitative methods to generate superior investment performance for GIC.  While quantitative researchers reside within specific asset departments alongside investment teams, they are also part of the broader IIG community, which provides ongoing capability development in quantitative techniques, functional mentorship, and exposure to cross-asset projects. 

Total Portfolio Solutions

The Total Portfolio Solutions (TPS) group optimises the performance of the GIC Portfolio by managing top-down cross-asset investment strategies and rebalancing the portfolio. This includes overseeing alternative investment strategies and quantitative solutions to maximise the impact of the total portfolio. 

 

What will you do as an Assoc/AVP, Quantitative Strategist (Equities), Total Portfolio Solutions:

  • Generate investment insights to drive better investment decisions and accelerate time to insights for the business
  • Conduct investment research and quantitative analysis supporting all stages of the investment process, which includes data ingestion, security mastering, data management, signal research and implementation, portfolio construction and optimization, risk management, execution and model management
  • Participate in team portfolio discussions on investment ideas, portfolio decisions and execution
  • Partner with technologists and researchers to constantly improve investment processes and build new capabilities for investment idea generation
  • Ensure smooth running of model operations and ensure best practices, governance and processes are being adhered to

 

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computing, Mathematics, Statistics with exposure to financial markets
  • Relevant experience in Systematic Equity research, portfolio management and risk/performance analysis
  • In depth data knowledge of typical datasets used by Systematic Equity strategies
