Economics & Investment Strategy (EIS)


GIC’s Economics & Investment Strategy department (EIS) is a team of professionals who work closely with Investment Committees to set the Total Portfolio’s strategic outlook and asset allocation over long- and medium-term horizons; and to identify, research, recommend and initiate appropriate responses on major structural trends that could significantly affect the risk-return profile of the Total Portfolio.


The Director’s Office of EIS takes charge of the daily operations in running the department successfully and efficiently, supporting the department’s goals and objectives. To continually enhance the capabilities of the team, we are looking for a suitable candidate to join our Director's Office as an Executive Assistant to provide administrative, operational and research support to the entire team. The Executive Assistant will also collaborate with corporate services colleagues across the organization and external groups to achieve joint success for GIC’s excellence.




Secretarial duties

  • Provide support and coordinate for investment management committees and board meetings
  • Assist with uploading and distribution of meeting materials
  • Assisting with general communication and correspondence relating to requests for meetings
  • Arranging and coordinating both internal and external meetings and/or conference calls
  • Organizing business travels and helping to coordinate travel itineraries
  • Undertaking administrative duties including submission of travel expense claims
  • Covering other EAs’ duties when they are on leave


Research and Office Administration

  • Assist in formatting and distribution of content for daily data/knowledge management
  • Facilitate the effective communication flows with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Department representative for general office administration related policies/matters (BCM/PDPA)
  • Assist in department's corporate subscriptions
  • Assist in event management such as forums and speakers series, department retreats
  • General department welfare




  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience supporting senior management level
  • Solid communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong eye for details and meticulous with ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under limited supervision
  • Candidates with working experience in financial institutions may be preferred
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power-point and Outlook is required
