People Operations & Advisory (POA)
You will advise and support recruitment, employee life cycle activities, mobility, payroll, and benefits related matters by designing and implementing simple, and efficient systems and processes.

We are looking for a suitable HR Operations Specialist to join the POA team as an Associate. You will be part of the team responsible for delivering HR operations in GIC.
What will you do as an an Associate, HR Operations Specialist (Payroll & Benefits, Asia Office)?
- Independently manage monthly payroll activities for the Asia offices, including payroll review and coordination with vendors to ensure timely and accurate payments across markets.
- Ensure compliance with local tax, social security and labour regulations across the region.
- Oversee payroll vendors, monitor their performance, and ensure compliance with local regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Stay updated on local employment laws and manage updates to employment contracts and employee handbooks.
- Administer employee benefits programs for the Asia offices, including management of the time-off system.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all payroll and HR operations matters, supporting both internal and external stakeholders.
- Build strong working relationships with team members and key stakeholders (e.g., Reward Policy team, HR Business Partners) to collaborate on policy implementation and operational solutions.
- Contribute to ad hoc HR projects and assignments as needed.
- Identify, design, and drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and achieve operational excellence.
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
- Degree in any discipline, with at least 3 years of relevant experience in payroll administration and benefits management.
- Good understanding of HR software solutions (such as SuccessFactors), along with familiarity with local regulations and general payroll and HR policies and processes.
- Strong expertise in payroll compliance and statutory requirements across one or more Asian markets.
- Proven experience in managing and collaborating with external payroll vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Strong commitment to teamwork, excellence, and collaboration.
- Proven ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
- Possesses a customer-focused mindset and strives to deliver high-quality service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability in managing tasks and resolving issues.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with initiative and resourcefulness.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and familiarity with HR systems.
