Investment Services Private Markets
We manage deal structuring, due diligence and closing. We provide financial operations to GIC’s private equity, infrastructure, and real estate assets, as well as tax structuring, corporate holding structures, valuations, and financial reporting.
Investment Finance & Controllers
The Investment Finance & Controllers Team is responsible for deal finance advisory including buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence, portfolio control, treasury and cash management, valuations, investment operations, investment and portfolio accounting, financial reporting, and special purpose vehicle management for GIC’s private investments.
We are looking for a suitable Associate to join our Controllers team.
What impact can you make in this role?
You will be part of a team that is an integrated investment service team that partners the business in providing services to support private markets investment.
We are seeking an Associate to support outsourced investment operations (with a focus in private credits). This role involves interactions with outsourced administrators, identifying service level issues, and ensuring the seamless integration of these solutions into our investment operations. This role works closely with internal and external stakeholders to support finance operations throughout the investment’s life cycle.
What will you do as an Associate?
- Support the deal life cycle from deal closing activities through an outsourced service provider
- Coordinate with outsourced service providers to ensure accurate and timely processing of private credit transactions, including loan origination, funding, settlements, and other loan life cycle events
- Review and verify transaction details to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Monitor the performance of outsourced operations to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met
- Identify and resolve any operational issues or discrepancies in collaboration with service providers
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date maintenance of transaction records and documentation
- Coordinate valuation update by service providers and analyse variances and anomalies to identify issues
- Reconcile data between internal systems and outsourced service providers to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Foster strong working relationships with external service providers and internal stakeholders, including transaction managers, deal teams, etc
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Participate in projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the operational framework
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
- Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or relevant disciplines
- At least 3 years relevant accounting work experience in the finance, accounting or private markets industry
- Familiarity with private credit instruments and transaction processes
- Knowledge of loan administration and servicing
- Experience working with outsourced service providers is highly desirable
