Legal and Compliance Department

We govern, structure, negotiate and execute the largest and most complex deals globally, across all asset classes.

 

Legal 

You will be empowered to structure, negotiate, review, draft and prepare legal documentation for our investment and corporate activities. You will also have the opportunity to lead and manage all disputes and litigation for GIC.  

 

What impact can you make in this role?

You will be empowered to support the structuring, negotiation, review and preparation of legal documentation for our investment and corporate activities.

 

We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our Legal team as an Associate, Paralegal.

What will you do as an Associate, Paralegal?

 

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating confidentiality agreements, third party engagement letters and release / reliance letters for all business areas.
  • Liaising with business, LCD colleagues and other risk management functions to address risk/control issues.
  • Dealing with queries from the business on all areas of responsibility related to the above responsibilities.

 

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?  

 

  • Candidates should have relevant qualifications (for example, a law degree or diploma in Paralegal Studies or Legal Executive Studies).  Work experience in corporate environment is desirable.
  • At least six months paralegal experience gained either with a law firm or a financial institution would be preferred.
  • Familiarity with corporate transactions would be beneficial.
  • Candidates will be advantaged if they have experience of reviewing and negotiating confidentiality agreements or other legal contracts.
  • Highly motivated and able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Meticulous with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are required.
