GIC Real Estate
The Real Estate (RE) arm of GIC invests in real estate and real estate-related assets outside of Singapore and has one of the largest and broadest real estate portfolios amongst all institutions.
Our real estate assets cover over 40 countries and span multiple property sectors, including traditional office, retail, residential, industrial, and hospitality; and newer economy sectors such as data centres, life sciences, and healthcare properties. We invest across the real estate capital structure in equity, senior and junior debt. Through active asset management, GIC further generates income, and enhances the market value of its assets through tenant management, market positioning, leasing, and capital improvements.
Global Investments & Portfolio Strategy (GIPS)
The Global Investments & Portfolio Strategy (GIPS) group is a global team that plays a key role in supporting the Real Estate Chief Investment Officer and senior management in evaluating investments, developing investment and portfolio strategy, and defining the role of Real Estate within the broader GIC portfolio. The GIPS team brings together professionals from diverse nationalities, backgrounds, and perspectives, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment.
We are seeking a motivated professional to join our GIPS team as an Associate/AVP. In this role, you will support senior colleagues in deal evaluations as well as in strategy and risk projects.
This position is based in Singapore.
What will you do in this role?
- Deal Evaluation: Develop an independent perspective on deals and underwriting, contributing to well-informed investment choices.
- Strategy: Contribute to the development of investment strategy recommendations and risk-management policies that align with long-term objectives.
- Portfolio: Monitor and evaluate the portfolio through quantitative and qualitative evaluation of economic, property, and financial market trends.
- Insights: Conduct investment-related research to generate meaningful insights and support strategic decision-making.
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
- 2–5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a buyside, investment banking, or private equity consulting environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders, demonstrating maturity, confidence, and respect for diverse viewpoints.
- Strong investment judgement and a genuine interest in Real Estate investment and research.
- Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to frame complex issues and convey insights effectively.
