Investment Services Public Markets

 

Investment Services Public Markets (ISPM) is an integrated investment service team that leverages data and emerging technologies to provide services for public market investment activities strategically and tactically. The team is responsible for business management functions for all public market investment strategy groups, as well as GIC’s global trade operations, custody control and asset servicing such as income entitlements, mergers and acquisitions and other corporate events of our underlying investments, futures and derivative operations, collateral management, pricing and rates, market data and rebalancing operations. The coverage extends across a spectrum of products such as equities, bonds, money market, foreign exchange, futures, collateralized securities and other derivatives.

 

We are currently looking for an Associate to join our Regulatory Reporting & Investment Compliance team on a 6 months contract. The Regulatory Reporting & Investment Compliance (RRIC) team specializes in researching, managing and implementing response to all regulatory provisions that affect the firm’s investments with internal and external advisors, focusing on regulatory reporting to applicable regulatory bodies globally.  Responsibilities include reviewing new products, markets, reputation analysis of all product lines as regulations evolved, as well as being the resident expert on regulatory implementation.  The group also monitors investment against restrictions / limits in all relevant jurisdictions arising from the investment activities of the public and private markets.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide project management support which may include (list not exhaustive)
    • Defining the project scope/problem statement and driving the delivery,
    • Testing and review of use cases,
    • Project coordination and stakeholder management across internal stakeholders and external vendors,
    • Be able to derive the key regulatory requirements and map them to rule coding, etc.

 

  • Build dashboards/tools by pulling data across various data sources that would support business decisions and complement existing regulatory controls.
  • Regulatory compliance and/or coding experience would be favorably considered.
  • Proactive in engaging with the team and subject matter experts, with good stakeholder management.

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in either Accounting/Finance, Business or a similar field.
  • At least 2 years of experience within Regulatory Compliance and Investment Monitoring function would be preferred.
  • Good understanding of regulations and investment monitoring requirements.
  • Possesses strong analytical skills and good working knowledge with data.
  • Possesses strong communication skills and able to effectively engage multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with establishing and meeting critical deadlines, as well as tracking and driving execution.
  • Inquisitive and curious, detailed-oriented, with strong analytical capabilities and possess a drive for excellence.
  • Able to work independently and effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines and juggling multiple ongoing priorities.
