What impact can you make in this role?
You will be part of a team that is an integrated investment service team that partners the business in providing services to support public markets investment. You will play a critical role in implementing GIC’s investment framework, policy changes, top of the house strategies and total portfolio rebalancing. This role is responsible for execution of top of the house changes, ensuring alignment with business goals, processes, and enterprise initiatives. In addition, this role is also responsible for business product management of platforms that impact total portfolio ecosystem.
We are looking for an Associate for a 2 year's contract to join our Total Portfolio Investment Services Management team to support Economic Investment Strategy (EIS) and Total Portfolio Solutions (TPS) department.
What will you do as an Associate,Total Portfolio Investment Services (Contract)?
- Benchmark onboarding working with internal stakeholders and external data vendors and counterparties.
- Collaborate with other investment and corporate services departments, to manage inter-dependencies and contribute to operational excellence across enterprise.
- Identify and recommend operating model enhancements and process improvements that reduces operational risk, enhance governance and controls particularly in index data space as part of business process review.
- Product management of platforms that impact total portfolio ecosystem, with focus on GIC’s index platform.
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
- Degree in Finance, Business, or related fields with at least 2-4 years of relevant working experience in index onboarding and data management.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills to work as the central interface of multiple functions, balancing the priorities of various teams, and managing the constructive tension between investment department business priorities and central governance and enterprise requirements.
- Meticulous and detail oriented, with rigor for thoroughness and controls
- Strong data / analytics capabilities (ideally with some coding experience)
- Good grasp of process design, operational problem solving, governance workflows, with an eye for streamlining and efficiency
- Strong learning agility with the ability to “connect the dots”.
- Self-motivated, committed, dependable, positive, and driven. Able to deliver high standards under extended time pressure with minimal supervision. Able to multitask and manage high volume of varied requests.
- Good team player that provides strong support to team members to accomplish overall team goals.
