Sustainability Office (SO)
The Sustainability Office provides thought leadership in GIC on Sustainability and is responsible for-
- undertaking sustainability-related investment research,
- developing investment strategy solutions for sustainability issues that have significant implications on the total GIC portfolio and
- working with GIC’s investment teams to integrate sustainability-related considerations in the investment processes.
By collaborating with our internal investment teams and external experts, we develop a suite of industry-leading sustainability integration tools to identify, measure and manage sustainability-related investment risks and opportunities in our total investment portfolio.
We are seeking an Associate / AVP, Business Analyst on a 1 year contract to join the Sustainability Office (SO). The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing data-driven decision-making, ensuring data accuracy and enabling AI data readiness to support sustainability reporting and analytics.
What will you do as an Associate/AVP, Business Analyst (Contract)?
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Quant Strategists, Data and Tech Team to analyze requirements for ISSB reporting, define clear data specifications, and ensure they are effectively translated into robust technical solutions and deliverables.
- Data Accuracy and Quality Assurance: Ensure data model outputs are accurately computed and productionized by performing robust validation checks—both at the database and dashboard levels, and maintaining comprehensive documentation to uphold data integrity, consistency, and reliability across workflows.
- AI Data Readiness: Identify key data sources critical to the Sustainability Office and develop a strategy to ensure data is structured, organized, with properly tagged metadata - enabling AI integration to generate investment insights.
- Documentation and Governance: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of business processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring alignment with internal governance, data policies, and best practices.
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in technical or quantitative discipline like Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Statistics, Engineering or Mathematics
- 3 - 7 years relevant experience in a financial or investment environment, with a focus on data operations and analytics
- Familiarity with financial and/or sustainability data workflows, including data management, transformation and reporting processes
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL
