Investment Services Private Market

The Investment Services Private Market (ISPVM) Department provides strategic investment services and financial management for the Private Markets within the GIC group. Leveraging data and emerging technologies, the department oversees the development and implementation of business infrastructural plans and operating models to scale GIC’s alternative asset investments globally. This covers deal structuring, due diligence and closing, financial operations across GIC’s assets, as well as tax structuring, corporate holding structures, valuations, and financial reporting.

 

Investment Services Management Multi-Strategies

We are looking for a suitable candidate to join the Investment Services Management Multi-Strategies team, under the Investment & Deal Execution division. He/She will be responsible for supporting the development of strategic business and operational solutions for the private markets Infrastructure asset class, while ensuring smooth running of the day-to-day operations including analytical and business supports.

 

What will you do as a Business Manager?

Strategy, Process, Platform, and Change Management

  • Support the execution of the business strategy by developing and implementing operating models, programs, and tools that enhance scalability and investment support.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to drive operational excellence, process optimization, and investment process digitalization and documentation.
  • Translate business needs into actionable requirements and collaborate with technology teams to enhance investment department’s platforms and dashboarding capabilities.
  • Collaborate across investment departments for best practice leveraging and to drive the execution of cross-departmental initiatives.
  • Maintain data integrity and consistency across systems to support accurate reporting and decision‑making.

 

Business, Risk, and Portfolio Execution

  • Coordinate governance, control, and audit activities, ensuring timely remediation and adherence to internal standards.
  • Support the review, implementation, and operationalization of business policies and controls, balancing business needs with risk management considerations.
  • Oversee and execute recurring and ad hoc asset servicing, reporting, and control activities through digitized workflows and integrated datasets.
  • Manage listed transaction coordination, order management, and reconciliation processes.
  • Support business administration activities including budgeting, cost tracking, and financial analysis.
  • Contribute to the annual business planning and budgeting cycle.
  • Drive ad hoc initiatives and deliverables aligned with Private Markets’ strategic agenda.

 

What makes you a successful candidate?

  • A good degree in Business, Finance, or related disciplines, with at least 3 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.
  • Experience in business management, project management, or process improvement within an investment or asset management environment.
  • Strong analytical and systems thinking capabilities, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, adaptable self-starter who thrives in dynamic environments and can manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly across teams.
  • Familiarity with Private Markets is advantageous.
