Portfolio Execution & Solutions Group (PESG)

The Portfolio Execution & Solutions Group (PESG) oversees the end‑to‑end completion and implementation of GIC’s Total Portfolio. With teams in Singapore, London, and New York, PESG provides a full spectrum of services for the Total Portfolio. These include trading, funding and liquidity management, securities financing, portfolio rebalancing, applied quantitative research, and counterparty relationship management. The team also delivers systematic portfolio solutions and innovation, such as portfolio construction techniques and tail‑risk management, to strengthen total portfolio construction and resilience. Working closely with other investment teams, PESG provides tailored execution solutions and advisory, leveraging market insights, advanced data analytics and technology to ensure investment ideas are implemented with precision to achieve optimal portfolio outcomes. Through its integrated approach, PESG ensures GIC’s Total Portfolio is managed seamlessly and dynamically to support long‑term capital allocation, risk management, and investment resiliency, all while keeping GIC agile and well positioned to capture opportunities across market cycles.

What will you do as an Associate/AVP, Portfolio Services Analyst?

As a Portfolio Services Analyst in PESG, you will play a key role in implementing GIC’s investment strategies across global markets. Sitting at the intersection of investment execution, business strategy, and data‑driven innovation, you will partner with portfolio managers, traders, and cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate and efficient portfolio implementation. You will also contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance how PESG operates — delivering business capabilities, driving process improvements, and shaping the future of GIC’s execution model.

• Support the execution and implementation of investment activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to governance standards.
• Collaborate across teams to design and deliver projects that improve PESG’s operating model, efficiency, and capabilities.
• Use data analytics and visualization tools to generate insights, automate workflows, and support decision‑making across trading, liquidity, and portfolio management functions.
• Apply emerging technologies, including AI and automation, to enhance execution quality and operational efficiency.
• Support governance, compliance, business continuity and operational risk management to ensure robust and scalable execution frameworks.

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?  

• A degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field, with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in financial services, consulting, or a data‑driven business management role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with proficiency in end‑user computing applications. Experience with AI‑enabled tools or automation is an advantage.
• A collaborative and proactive mindset, able to work closely with investment teams while contributing to strategic and operational initiatives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to turn complex ideas into actionable insights and delivering meaningful outcomes through thoughtful execution.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• A self‑starter with curiosity and drive to learn, innovate, and continuously improve.
