Corporate Infrastructure Services Department
The Corporate Infrastructure Services Department (CISD) at GIC focuses on maintaining a best-in-class workplace environment that enables employees to perform at their highest potential. Within CISD, the Enterprise Sourcing & Procurement (ESP) team provides strategic procurement and sourcing support, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements, value optimization, and quality assurance across all organizational activities.
The Procurement Services role sits within ESP and comprises 3 key programmes – procurement operations, vendor staff management and our global travel programme.
What impact can you make in this role?
The Associate / Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Procurement Services will be responsible for the procurement operations of the team. This role requires close partnership and vendor management to ensure efficient, accurate and timely delivery of operational outcomes. The role will manage the systems supporting the end-to-end procurement process and continually drive improvements of the process and systems. The role will also champion the development and use of data for better reporting and insights.
The ideal candidate will have a strong process and systems thinking as well as high aptitude to data and systems to ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes leveraging off AI, technology and data.
What will you do in the Procurement Services team?
1. Procurement Services
- Lead and oversee daily procurement operations, including purchase requests, contract execution and documentation.
- Drive efficiency and accuracy through process improvements and technology enablement.
- Collaborate with Finance and other internal stakeholders to resolve issues and enhance the fulfilment of procurement requests
- Provide support and backup for other Procurement Services programmes (e.g. Vendor Staff Management)
2. Procurement Systems
- Manage and administer core systems supporting the procurement lifecycle.
- Evaluate, prioritize and test system enhancements and bug fixes to ensure stability and continuous improvements.
- Explore and pilot AI or automation solutions to improve the efficiency and quality of the procurement outcomes.
3. Reporting & Analytics
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights on procurement activities and spend.
- Ensure data completeness, accuracy, and integrity through regular quality checks.
- Standardize and operationalize reporting processes for management and internal stakeholders
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
- 5 – 8 years of experience in procurement, operations, or a related function.
- Bachelor’s degree in procurement / supply chain, operations management, information systems or a related discipline
- Strong process orientation and experience in vendor staff management.
- Detail-oriented, with a structured and disciplined approach to execution.
- Hands-on experience administering procurement systems and handling data, including data transformation and validation.
- Familiarity with procurement platforms (e.g., SAP, Coupa) and data analytics tools or languages (e.g., Python, Tableau) preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
