Enterprise Sourcing and Procurement

The Enterprise Sourcing & Procurement (ESP) team of the Corporate Administration & Infrastructure Department (CAID) provides strategic advice and supports GIC’s procurement needs that ensure compliance and maximise value without compromising quality.

You will be empowered to deliver real tangible value and savings through strategic sourcing, so GIC can use its joint purchasing power to extract the best possible value from the marketplace. You will also help to ensure that GIC sources its goods and services from vendors and service providers with responsible and sustainable business practices to safeguard GIC’s reputation.

 

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist who will be responsible to manage and drive the procurement process to support GIC’s business needs. This role requires a person who is adaptable across different categories and possess the ability to build relationships with both the business and key suppliers.

 

What will you do as a Procurement Specialist?

 

Sourcing and Procurement

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans with the stakeholders
  • Lead the end-to-end procurement process by collaborating across different teams, including stakeholders, finance, legal and technology
  • Support stakeholders throughout the process, which includes development of procurement documents, managing the entire tender process, contracting and finance-related operations
  • Develop negotiation strategies to extract best value
  • Build strong understanding and relationships with the business and key suppliers
  • Proactively analyse spend data to proactively improve performance and identify cost saving opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policy and vendor risk framework

 

What qualification or skills should you possess in this role?

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in sourcing and procurement
  • Degree in business and finance or equivalent
  • Strong skills in project and relationship management 
  • Familiarity and experience in category management, procurement and sourcing, contract and commercial negotiation, as well as financial and contract management
  • Excellent in change management, risk management, and vendor management
  • High technology aptitude, result oriented and a strong team player
