Technology Group
We experiment, design, and lead a 24×7 global business where we support core capabilities in asset management, trading, investment operations, and risk management. We deliver secure, reliable, and integrated solutions, and provide insights on new, and emerging technologies.
Business Partner & Solutions
You will help to explore new, and existing technology to support our strategic, and operational business needs across our Public Markets, Private Markets, Total Portfolio Risk, Corporate Services, and Enterprise Solutions.

What will you do as a Software Developer in the Investment Services Public Markets Core team?
You will be part of an Agile team that iteratively develops and supports GIC’s proprietary systems:
- Reference Data systems that manages securities, composites and portfolio constructs, as well as market data and analytics, across all asset classes;
- Investment Book of Records systems that manages transactions, positions and valuations; and
- Strategic Portfolio Management system that portfolio managers use to perform asset and currency rebalancing
This team consists of subject matter experts in data acquisition, validation, transformation and data enrichment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Work closely with product owners, business analysts and project managers to design, solution and implement features using modern technologies
- Conduct detailed analysis on new business requirements and develop new capabilities
- Investigate anomalies and develop solutions to rectify
- Conduct System Integration Tests, coordinate with business users on User Acceptance Tests
- Collaborate with vendors and external solution providers to ensure high quality deliveries throughout the product lifecycle
What makes you a successful candidate?
- 1 to 5 years of relevant working experience in front-end or back-end software development
- • Hands-on technical skills and good competency in
- Java and Spring Boot,
- SQL and relational database such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL,
- React and/or Angular.
- Experiences with the following technologies will be advantageous
- typescript
- LINUX/UNIX and shell scripting
- ETL/data ingestion tools
- Oracle Weblogic
- Experience with methodologies such as SDLC / Agile Scrum, Kanban, or any DevOps frameworks
- Good team player who is keen to learn, independent, and with strong analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
- Passionate in understanding business requirements and use technology to transform or improve current state
- Familiar with and interested to learn about current and emerging technology landscapes
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) related discipline is advantageous
