Corporate Administration Infrastructure Department
At the Corporate Administration Infrastructure Department (CAID), we strive to provide the best work environment for our employees to enable them to deliver their best performance. As part of the Workplace Management Team, you will play a pivotal role in reinventing our workspaces in our global headquarters and principal overseas offices to support cultural change.
What will you do as an AVP in the Workplace Management Team?
We are looking for an Assistant Vice President (AVP) to manage our leases, projects, and space planning initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate management, project management, and strategic space planning. This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Lease Management:
- Manage Leases: Oversee GIC’s office leases in Asia Pacific, including negotiations and transactions
- Monitor Milestones: Track lease milestones and expirations, coordinating strategic plans with stakeholders
- Direct Negotiations: Guide service providers in negotiation strategies and ensure timely completion of transactions
Project Management
- Lead Projects: Manage fit-out and renovation projects from inception to completion
- Coordinate Delivery: Work with contractors, vendors, and internal teams for timely, budget-compliant delivery
- Monitor Progress: Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
Space Planning
- Optimise Space: Develop and implement strategic space planning initiatives
- Conduct Studies: Perform space utilisation studies and recommend improvements
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Understand space requirements and develop tailored solutions
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Architecture, or a related field
- A minimum of 10 years of work experience in lease management, project management, and space planning
- Proven track record of successfully managing small/medium-scale projects and lease portfolios with ability to do value engineering, problem solve and adapt to evolving situations effectively
- Strong understanding of real estate market trends and best practices
- Experience in root cause analysis, industry benchmarking, survey evaluation and data interpretation and analysis
- High personal integrity, intellectual curiosity and ability to exercise initiative with attention to details
- Self-directed and results oriented, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment
- Competent team player, with emphasis on team results and goals
- Strong customer-orientation, interpersonal and communications skills, with ability to manage key business stakeholders across different job levels and collaborate with team members
- Proficiency in project management and space planning software and tools. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required
- Certifications such as PMP, WELL and LEED is preferred
