Corporate Administration Infrastructure Department

What impact can you make in this role?
We are looking for an Associate / AVP to lead our M&E function. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities management. This role requires exceptional organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure optimal service delivery and operational excellence.
What will you do as an Associate / Assistant Vice President (AVP) in the Workplace Management Team?
- Leadership & Management:
- Oversee the performance and governance of Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) service partners, ensuring alignment with contractual KPIs and SLAs for efficient service delivery across all offices and technical spaces.
- Manage asset management, preventive maintenance, and lifecycle management programmes conducted by IFM vendors to ensure operational efficiency and equipment longevity.
- Lead regional IFM technical programmes, ensuring global alignment while addressing specific operational requirements of regional offices.
- Technical Expertise:
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to manage and lead CAPEX and OPEX projects, including minor works, infrastructure upgrades, and mission-critical facility enhancements.
- Provide project support to regional teams on engineering operations, technical specifications, and infrastructure planning.
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical facilities systems, including Electrical, Mechanical, and Building Monitoring and Control systems.
- Budget Management:
- Manage the budget, including CAPEX and OPEX, ensuring effective allocation and utilisation of resources.
- Innovation, Sustainability, and Continuous Improvement:
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging internal and external partnerships.
- Lead energy and sustainability programmes to promote environmentally responsible practices.
- Analyse financial data and contract models to identify opportunities for savings and service improvements.
- Statutory Compliance: Own and manage the statutory compliance framework, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations.
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
- Education Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities management or a related field. Proven track record of managing CAPEX and OPEX projects, including minor works and infrastructure upgrades.
- Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including Electrical, Mechanical, and Building Monitoring and Control systems. Proficiency in interpreting architectural and M&E drawings. Familiarity with asset management, preventive maintenance, and lifecycle management principles.
- Proficiency in project management and space planning software; AutoCAD proficiency is required.
- Certifications:
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM) and Facility Management Professional (FMP) certifications are preferred.
- Relevant Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) certification.
- Additional certifications such as PMP, WELL, and LEED are also advantageous.
- Leadership & Management Skills:

- Demonstrated experience in overseeing service partners and managing vendor relationships.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage regional programmes effectively.
- Budget Management:
- Strong budget management skills, with experience in financial analysis and resource allocation.
- Innovation & Sustainability:
- Experience in driving innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of energy management and sustainability practices.
- Regulatory Knowledge:
- Comprehensive understanding of local codes of practice, statutory compliance, and regulatory standards related to facilities management.
- Familiarity with statutory submission procedures and general knowledge of M&E building services.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting technical information clearly and concisely.
- High personal integrity, intellectual curiosity, and initiative with attention to detail.
- Self-directed and results-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-Solving Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting skills in building services and systems, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
