We are looking for a Data Centre Manager to manage the Data Center operations. This role will report into our Infrastructure and Operations team.  
 
Responsibilities:
Data Center Management

  • Responsible in managing day to day functioning of data center, oversees accesses, operations, incident responses, policies, procedures and auditing compliances.
  • Monitor and ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness of Data Centers, designing layouts for all infrastructure equipments, including of racking system.
  • Involve in 24x7 response to incidents within data center, investigate, analyse, design workaround, recovery, root cause analysis and resolutions.
  • Require to maximize the performance of systems, applications and networks, ensuring uninterrupted operations, supporting infrastructure, applications and businesses.
  • Engagement and internal interactions within infrastructure team, manage equipment stakeholders, IT shift operation team, facilities, team, contractors and external vendors.
  • In charge of external vendor evaluations, contract terms and performance management.
  • Enforce power testing and burn-in tests for all new equipment and accessories within staging room prior to installations.
  • Support DC facilities maintenance activities or landlord’s regular power maintenance activities to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Planning and scheduling of DC support activites in avoidance of critical business blackout dates.
  • Review and approve on new data center accesses and user accesses.
  • Perform annual and adhoc security verifications with landlord, uphold and maintain physical environment policies, IT security standards and physical accesses.
  • Implementation of corporate policies procedures and standards to enhance and maximize system and data center operations.
  • Manage operations and capital budgeting, collating requirements across Technology group, monitoring and control approved budgets.
  • Participate and work with members of Work Health Safety Workgroup, to uphold all health and safety practices.
  • Participate in disaster recovery tests and exercises.
  • Respond and manage incident escalations.
  • After office hours and weekend support is expected.

 

Requirements:

  • With Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in data center management, preferably in financial services or investment banking industries.
  • Professional experience in managing missions in critical Data Center Facility environment.
  • Knowledge on regulations on security, fire and workplace safety.
  • Leading and collaborating with stakeholders and staff at all levels.
  • Strong knowledge in premise security management.
  • Requires flexibility to travel and perform off-hours on-call support when required.
  • Good analytical and problem resolution skills.
  • Good oral, written and presentation skills, coupled with technical reporting writing skills across various types of target audiences.
  • Proven exposures and experience in vendor management.
  • A good team player who thrives in a dynamic and fast moving pace environment.
  • Possesses strong analytical, good communication and excellent interpersonal skills.
