Economics & Investment Strategy

The Economics & Investment Strategy Department (EIS) articulates GIC’s strategic outlook, determines asset exposures and benchmarks, implements new return streams and investment models, and optimises the risk-reward of the GIC Portfolio.

 

What impact can you make in this role?

The Director’s Office of EIS takes charge of the daily operations in running the department successfully and efficiently, supporting the department’s goals and objectives. To continually enhance the capabilities of the team, we are looking for a suitable candidate to join our Director's Office as an Executive Assistant to provide secretarial and administrative support to the team.

 

What will you do as an Executive Assistant?

  • Provide full secretarial support for a team in EIS e.g. calendar management, scheduling of internal and external meetings/appointments;
  • Organize the team’s business travel and helping to coordinate travel itineraries, including submission of travel expense claims;
  • Provide administrative support for investment committee’s meeting including logistical support, repository management and uploading and distribution of meeting materials;
  • Support the department’s Knowledge Management efforts such as uploading and dissemination of research reports;
  • Undertake other operational duties such as record keeping, procurement for stationary supply, onboarding new hires and other corporate initiatives;
  • Assist in organizing department events/general staff welfare activities; and
  • Act as leave cover for other EAs.

 

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience supporting senior management level 
  • Solid communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Meticulous with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and work under limited supervision
  • Ability to adapt to changes in technologies and enterprise software
  • Proficient in MS O365
  • Candidates with prior working experience in financial institutions may be preferred
