The Human Resource & Organization Department champions the people agenda for GIC. We invest in talent and organization development to maximize the potential of our people for long-term sustainable performance. We are organized by strategic HR domains and work in partnership with business groups to manage talent and build impactful teams. Our HR domains are: Talent & Organization Strategies, GIC School, Talent Acquisition, Graduate Recruitment, HR Business Partnership, People Analytics & Solutions, and People Operations & Advisory.

 

What will you do as an SVP, Human Resource Business Partner?

You will be part of the HR Business Partners team, responsible for co-creating talent initiatives alongside the leadership team of the Technology Department. This is a single-contributor role that collaborates closely with other HR Business Partners to support the Technology function. You will act as a coach and consultant to senior managers on key talent practices to enable business performance goals. There is an art and science to this role — you are expected to be a proactive communicator and change agent who can successfully balance business objectives with talent priorities to create impactful solutions. You will also contribute to policy formulation as a thought partner, enabling HR policies and practices that drive higher employee engagement and desired business outcomes.

 

  • Serve as a strategic and trusted advisor to senior Technology leadership, aligning HR strategies with the department’s goals and contributing to organizational development efforts that enable innovation and agility.
  • Partner with Director of Technology and Technology Division Heads to lead the people agenda, driving workforce performance, talent readiness, and future capability needs in line with GIC’s digital and technology transformation objectives.
  • Collaborate with HR domain teams and Technology line managers across areas such as talent acquisition, workforce planning, talent management, DEI, performance management, rewards and recognition, ensuring the Technology workforce is future-ready and engaged.
  • Work with the GIC School and Technology leaders to foster continuous learning and career development, supporting technical and leadership capability building through targeted programs.
  • Provide insights on employee engagement and culture, leveraging data and feedback from workplace surveys and other channels to strengthen collaboration and innovation within Technology teams.
  • Guide line managers on employee relations issues, supporting conflict resolution and grievance management in compliance with labor regulations and market best practices.

 

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role? 

  • Mature, results-oriented professional committed to delivering robust and proactive HR practices in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • 12+ years of HR experience, ideally gained in multinational organizations, with proven experience partnering with senior leadership in Technology, Digital, or Engineering functions.
  • Strong understanding of technology talent markets, including experience supporting roles in software engineering, data analytics, cybersecurity, or digital transformation.
  • Able to think strategically, analyze complex issues, and recommend appropriate courses of action that balance business needs with people priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships founded on trust and mutual respect, and to influence both business executives and the broader HR team.
  • Exercises sound judgment, is resourceful, and able to deal effectively with a variety of challenging situations.
  • Self-starter who can work independently while being a collaborative team player.
