Investment Services Private Markets 

The Investment Services Private Markets (ISPVM) Department provides strategic investment services and financial management for the Private Markets within the GIC group. Leveraging data and emerging technologies, the department oversees the development and implementation of business infrastructural plans and operating models to scale GIC’s alternative asset investments globally. This covers deal structuring, due diligence and closing, financial operations across GIC’s assets, as well as tax structuring, corporate holding structures, valuations, and financial reporting. 

 

Investment Process Solutions

We are seeking a candidate to lead our Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) engagements. This role will be pivotal in optimising GIC’s investment services, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring seamless collaboration between our organization and the vendors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in investment operations, finance, data, and/or accounting within banking or financial institutions, along with a proven track record of managing complex outsourcing relationships.

 

What will you do as a Team Lead?

  • BPO Engagement Management: Oversee the relationship with the outsourced vendors, ensuring alignment with business objectives, service level agreements (SLAs), and performance metrics.
  • Operating Model reviews: Review operating models when identifying processes that are being outsourced. Ensure businesses optimizes processes in partnership with vendor(s) to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders across GIC, including front office and investment services to ensure that outsourced processes meet both business needs and risk requirements.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate vendor performance, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with the outsourcing engagement and develop mitigation strategies to ensure compliance and operational continuity.
  • Change Management: Lead change management initiatives related to the outsourcing engagement, ensuring smooth transitions and effective communication with all stakeholders.
  • Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to internal teams on processes and systems related to the BPO engagement, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with the vendor(s), facilitating open communication and collaboration to address challenges and drive mutual success.

 

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in finance, data, and investment services outsourced operations within banking or financial institutions.
  • Proven experience managing BPO engagements and vendor relationships, with a track record of delivering operational excellence.
  • Strong understanding of investment processes, regulatory requirements, and best practices in outsourcing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and initiatives.
  • Proficiency in relevant technology platforms and tools used in investment operations and outsourcing.
