Investment Services Private Markets

The Investment Services Private Market (ISPVM) Department provides strategic investment services and financial management to private equity, real estate, infrastructure and cross-strategy investments within the Private Markets of the GIC group. Leveraging data and emerging technologies, the department oversees the development and implementation of business infrastructural plans and operating models to scale GIC’s alternative asset investments globally. The department is responsible for deal structuring, execution and closing, due diligence, tax advisory, and investment holding structures, finance and investment operations, portfolio monitoring, data management, reporting and analytics, and valuations. 

 

Investment Services Management Multi-Strategies

The Investment Services Management Multi-Strategies team primarily supports investments in funds, private equity, co-investments, credits and real assets. The team’s role involves front-mid-back deal closing and investment execution activities. The SVP will lead a global team and work in close partnership with the investment teams, various functional teams and external stakeholders to execute private markets transactions. The role is also responsible to build front-mid-back deal execution capabilities, processes, and service platforms for the private market business units.

 

What impact can you make in this role?

We are looking for a suitable candidate to lead the Investment Services Management Multi-Strategies team, that is responsible for the Transaction Management platform across the private markets business units.

 

What will you do as a lead?

  • Lead the Transaction Management activities to deliver timely and efficient deal closing and execution across Singapore, Americas, and London
  • Being a valued business partner to the business, providing advisory and solutions to solve complex deal closing activities for Private Market transactions
  • Identify opportunities and ideas that will value-add to the business and develop enablers to support the private markets growing complexity and scale
  • Establish and implement strong processes, and robust operating models, systems and governance across front-mid-back offices in deal execution activities
  • Scale long term capabilities, that includes technology applications for deal closing activities to be executed in an efficient and effective manner
  • Conceptualize and identify enhancements in current workflow and drive operational front-mid-back process improvements, efficiencies, governance and controls
  • As the owner of the TM Ecosystem, work closely with the Private Equity and Real Estate TM teams, Deal and Asset Finance teams to strengthen the execution service platform
  • Coordinate the global Transaction Management Operating Committees and develop partnerships across the organization; as the strategic business partner to the Private Markets investment groups
  • Develop a strong talent pipeline of investment services talent

 

What makes you a successful candidate?

The successful candidate should ideally bring the following competencies and experiences:

  • >15 years of relevant experience in transaction management and/or finance for private markets
  • Proven ability to influence at a senior level and deliver results through others
  • Relevant experience in a leadership position supporting investment activities 
  • Degree or post-graduate degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management. Professional accounting qualifications preferred.
