We are looking for an SVP, Principal Enterprise Architect, this role will lead organization wide technical and business discussions in respect to future enterprise direction, aligning architecture strategy with organizational goals.

 

You will establish GIC’s technology research strategy and roadmap, oversee research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and emerging trends, and advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, system impact and technology priorities. This includes effectively synthesizing of diverse enterprise needs and perspective to spearhead new initiatives, solutions and drive innovations.

 

Responsibilities

 

Develop enterprise architecture strategy and roadmap

 

  • Lead enterprise architecture working group to develop architecture blueprints, standards and processes.
  • Drive technical and business discussions in respect to future enterprise direction.
  • Lead and facilitate the development of governing principles to guide enterprise architecture and technology decision making.
  • Drive enterprise architecture governance processes.

 

Lead the development of architecture artifacts and maintain oversight

 

  • Define enterprise architecture artifacts such as enterprise architecture landscape, business architecture, data architecture, application architecture and technology architecture with respective business and technology teams.
  • Lead development and delivery of platforms with reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different businesses.

 

Review project level system architecture

 

  • Lead architecture review working group to ensure alignment of system level architecture to enterprise architecture.
  • Advise project teams on options, risks, costs versus benefits, system impact and technology priorities, especially in complex and large-scale projects.

 

Research emerging technologies

 

  • Lead technology working group to develop and maintain technology roadmap that is relevant to GIC and industry trends.
  • Oversee the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and emerging trends.

 

Develop talents and thought leadership

 

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to enterprise architects and application teams on the enterprise architecture practice.

 

Qualifications and Skills Requirements

 

  • At least 15 years of relevant experience in enterprise architecture
  • Bachelor’s Degree and Masters in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of experience in designing, building and managing large scale application platforms.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading enterprise architects in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication abilities and ability to influence key stakeholders ranging from C-level executives, MDs, CISO, application architects and subject matter experts.
  • Excellent understanding of software development best practices including requirement analysis, SDLC, Software Configuration and Change Management, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, system security design.
  • Possesses advanced knowledge of relevant enterprise architecture methodologies, frameworks and modelling tools, as well as information technology architectures and technologies such TOGAF 9.x, Archimate 3.x, private and public cloud architecture, and modern application architectures.
  • Strong knowledge in Financial Market domains will be an added advantage.
