We experiment, design, and lead a 24×7 global business where we support core capabilities in asset management, trading, investment operations, and risk management. We deliver secure, reliable, and integrated solutions, and provide insights on new, and emerging technologies. 

 

Business Partner & Solutions
You will help to explore new, and existing technology to support our strategic, and operational business needs across our Public Markets, Private Markets, Total Portfolio Risk, Corporate Services, and Enterprise Solutions.

What will you do as a Total Portfolio Risk & Performance Engineering Head?

  • Lead division consisting of multiple teams of engineers delivering solutions for the Total Portfolio domain
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including project sponsors, business leaders, technical teams, and external partners
  • Collaborate with Product Management stakeholders to understand requirements and develop strategies that meet their requirements
  • Act as a solution architect across the whole domain, setting the strategy for the architecture evolution towards a strategic target state
  • Directly manage the managers of the engineering teams providing leadership, direction, and personal development coaching
  • Actively raise the quality bar for engineering talent – attracting, retaining, and improving the best developers in the industry
  • Drive the implementation of engineering policies and practices to guide teams to high levels of quality and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Provide input into budget and resource planning. 

 

What makes you a successful candidate?

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • Ability to connect with software engineers and do hands-on development to demonstrate their connectedness with the everyday needs of developers
  • Extensive experience in technology delivery in financial organizations – preferably within some experience of risk and performance
  • Proven track record in sizable engineering roles with broad experience and knowledge in different engineering patterns, demonstrating the ability to deliver impactful outcomes
  • Strong domain knowledge of the operational flow of front office, mid-office, and  particularly enterprise risk and performance flows
  • Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to influence department strategy and contribute to the development of the technical architecture strategy
  • People leadership experience of manager-of-managers
  • Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, effectively translating complex technical concepts into business terms
  • Leadership experience in architecting, implementing, and troubleshooting business facing products and services
  • Experience in working with cloud-native environment such as AWS (preferred) or Azure cloud platform
  • Excellent presentation, communication (oral and written), and relationship-building skills across all levels of management
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to handle change in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills, with the ability to identify and address complex engineering challenges
  • Earns high advocacy and loyalty from teams through strong managerial competence, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and high performance
  • Provides mentorship and guidance to team members, enabling their professional development and success
  • Ability to understand cultural differences and be effective working in a diverse environment
  • Proven track record driving successful transformations and managing stakeholders effectively
  • Knowledge and active use of Agile, SCRUM, and Continuous Delivery methodologies
