What impact can you make in this role?
You will be empowered to be at the top of your game by providing strategic partnership, and innovative technology solutions that supports GIC’s vision of being a tech-driven, global, long-term investment firm.

What will you do as Head of Asset Servicing & Controllership (Investment Technology)?

As the Head of Asset Servicing & Controllership within Investment Technology (INVT), you will lead the global technology function that underpins GIC’s post trade processing, accounting, and reporting capabilities across all asset classes. You will define and execute a multi year technology strategy to simplify and modernize the asset servicing and financial control landscape, enabling accurate, timely, and controlled processing across GIC’s investment operations.

  • Set and drive the strategic direction for asset servicing and controllership technology, aligning with GIC’s enterprise priorities around data transformation, cybersecurity, AI adoption, and operating model modernization.
  • Lead the design and delivery of technology solutions that support Global Investment Services (GIS) led asset servicing and controllership processes, ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance.
  • Oversee the Treasury & Accounting, Asset Monitoring & Reporting, and Payments & Reconciliation technology domains, ensuring end to end integration and operational excellence.
  • Simplify and modernize the functional and technical landscape by decomposing the Atlas monolith into modular, service based components that support agility and future growth.
  • Partner with GIS to support the implementation of Middle Office & Back Office (MOBO) outsourcing, ensuring system readiness, data integrity, and seamless integration with external service providers.
  • Embed strong data, control, and compliance capabilities across all post trade systems to strengthen governance and reduce operational risk.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering & Architecture, Data, Risk & Controls, and Production Support & SRE teams to ensure architectural consistency, resilience, and adherence to enterprise standards.
  • Represent Investment Technology in internal and external governance forums, steering committees, and vendor or industry working groups, influencing technology direction and best practices.
  • Lead and develop a global team of approximately 30 technology professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive talent development and succession planning, building sustainable leadership capability and technical excellence within the team.

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • Delivery of the modernised asset servicing and controllership platform, successful support for MOBO outsourcing, reduction of legacy system dependencies, improved data quality and reporting accuracy, stakeholder satisfaction, compliance adherence, and strong talent engagement

What makes you a successful candidate?
You are an experienced technology leader with deep expertise in post trade systems, accounting, and financial control. You combine strategic foresight with hands on execution and the ability to lead large scale transformation across complex global environments.

  • Extensive experience - at least 20 years in technology leadership roles within global financial institutions or asset managers, with exposure to middle and back office systems supporting accounting, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Proven transformation leadership, having delivered complex, multi year programs that modernize legacy platforms and improve operational efficiency.
  • Strong domain knowledge of post trade workflows, including asset servicing, financial control, reconciliation, and reporting processes.
  • Technical acumen in data management, automation, and service based architectures, with the ability to apply these to simplify and strengthen operational platforms.
  • Collaborative leadership style, with the ability to partner effectively with Global Investment Services, Finance, and enterprise technology teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior leaders, governance bodies, and external vendors.
  • Inspirational people leadership, fostering high performance, innovation, and professional growth across global teams.
  • Commitment to governance and risk management, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity, regulatory, and operational standards.
  • Academic foundation in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).

You succeed by combining strategic vision, technical depth, and collaborative leadership - enabling GIC to operate modern, reliable post trade platforms that support accurate accounting, robust controls, and operational excellence across all asset classes.
