We generate sustainable, superior returns through active investments across global equity markets. Strategies include relative return strategies, absolute return strategies, and quantitative strategies.

 

What impact can you make in this role?

You will be part of a team that pursues active management strategies in equity investing. 

 

What will you do as Head, Business Strategy & Management?

The successful candidate will enable public equity investment strategies to deliver Sustainable Top Quartile Performance.  Accordingly, they are required to engage with people at all levels across the firm.  The successful candidate will also work with teams in Singapore, Shanghai, Mumbai, London and New York, as well as counterparties and service providers across the globe.

  • Partner the CIO and COO on strategy formulation and execution to deploy business support and platform capabilities to drive top quartile performance.
  • Monitor business and investment activities to ensure strict compliance to parameters set by the CIO and risk and compliance policies.
  • Assist COO with resource management and allocation across the business.
  • Partner EQ Head of Research on the management and deployment of research capabilities and resources
  • Partner with EQ investment team heads to develop and implement new investment strategies, manage strategy initiatives and portfolio implementation requirements.
  • Represent EQ in working groups, committees and forums on their business requirements, while balancing client, enterprise and governance considerations
  • Spearhead change initiatives from initiation to post-implementation, including interfacing with various functions across GIC.
  • Partner with and manage stakeholders across GIC to deliver on initiatives and projects on a timely basis, ensuring impact on the front office are holistically considered.
  • Resolve front office issues and potential road-blockers arising from execution, operational, risk and compliance considerations. 
  • Proactively consider and implement process improvements to drive efficiency gains and cost reductions.
  • Ensure smooth continuity of business and operations.


What qualifications or skills should you possess?

  • Strong knowledge of public equities markets and instruments
  • Strong problem solving abilities with an eye for details, and good interpersonal, project management, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to communicate and translate high level strategies into actual implementation / execution (operational and tactical).
  • Excellent Degree in Finance, Business or related fields with minimum 10 years relevant working experience in the financial services industry.
  • Strategy / Top Tier Consulting Experience a plus.
